FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes taking measurements using two measurement transducers, the time constants of which differ by not less than two orders; based on output signals of the transducers, determining pulse functions of the measurement transducers and calculating the convolution of the signal from the measurement transducer with a low time constant with the pulse function of the measurement transducer with a higher time constant; calculating the coefficient of proportionality between the function of the measurement transducer with a higher time constant and the convolution result. The transfer constant of the average power unit is the calculated coefficient of proportionality.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy in unstable laser radiation conditions.
