FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to energy photometry and a method of generating laser radiation of reference power. Method includes attenuation of power of laser radiation from selected source by means of main rotating mechanical attenuator from absorbing material with angular cut, measurement of obtained power Pe using reference receiver, calculation of reference power Pm laser radiation and generation of laser radiation of reference power Pm. When generating laser radiation of reference power, an auxiliary rotary mechanical attenuator in the form of an angular fragment which repeats the above angular cut is used. Reference power of generated laser radiation is calculated as Pm=Pe⋅Ko/Ka, where Ko is the attenuation factor of the main attenuator, and Ka – auxiliary.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of reproduction of reference power.
