FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing fluoride compounds and, in particular, to methods of silicon tetrafluoride by acidic hydrolysis of fluoride salts of alkali metals or alkali earth metals and aluminium. Method of silicon tetrafluoride production includes contact of initial fluoroalumonate, which includes fluoride salts of alkali or alkali earth metals, and aluminium, gaseous acid and silicon source to obtain silicon tetrafluoride and, at least, one byproduct. Method of silane production includes acidic hydrolysis of silane production byproducts to obtain silicon tetrafluoride.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce silicon tetrafluoride, use waste products, formed in silane production, and improve silane production efficiency.
