SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bioprinter, a method of calibrating the position of the cartridge, a method of manufacturing a fabric structure, at that the bioprinter comprises one or more printheads, where the printhead comprises the means for receiving and supporting at least one cartridge, and where the said cartridge comprises the contents selected from one or more of bio-ink and the substrate material. The bioprinter also comprises the means to calibrate the position of at least one cartridge with the use of at least one laser beam to determine the position of the cartridge in space, and the means for dispensing the contents of at least one cartridge.
