FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in oil refining industry. The method for obtaining of the coking additive with the content of volatiles above 11% includes the slow coking of oil residues which is performed in the isolated coke chamber, the upper part of which has the diameter 1.4 times larger than that of the lower part, at difference of temperatures between its upper and lower parts no more than 45°C, and on the top part of the coke chamber the double isolation is applied. The raw materials to the coke chamber are supplied at the temperature up to 480°C and no more than 16 hours.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce losses of heat vented into atmosphere, minimize probability of foam formation in the upper part of the coke chamber and its emission into the rectifying column, increase between-repairs run of the coking unit and to improve uniformity of the coking additive.
