FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to anaesthesiology and resuscitation, pulmonology, therapy, and can be applied in case if patient's ventilation is required in the course of treatment or examination. For this purpose claimed is catheter for patient's ventilation with assistance to exhalation, which contains elongated element with passing inside it canal for supply of respiratory gas into patient's respiratory ways and removal of respiratory gas from them. Supply and removal of respiratory gas is realised alternately with its passing in ventilation canal in both directions and with provision of possibility of patient's norm-ventilation through catheter. Catheter is made flexible, with transverse section of ventilation canal remaining mainly unchanged in case of excessive pressure or vacuum. Ventilation canal has open end and connective end for connection with supply system and has internal diameter not more than 4.5 mm, preferably not more than 3 mm, and length at least 200 mm. Also claimed is method of patient's ventilation, including preparation of supply system and catheter, its introduction into trachea from outside with further carrying out jet ventilation with assistance to exhalation. Measurement of pressure near open end of ventilation canal is additionally performed and intervals for supply and removal of respiratory gas are determined on the basis of obtained values. Method of improving breathing in case of obstruction of respiratory ways by performance of jet ventilation with assistance to exhalation through claimed catheter is also claimed.

EFFECT: inventions provide adequate and safe jet ventilation of patient with application of one catheter with small diameter under lower pressure, which will make it possible to carry out ventilation, including realisation of different necessary manipulations, including those with application of laser.
