FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting based on light-emitting diodes, which, in particular, are compatible with lighting technologies based on adjustable input voltage. Result is achieved in that the invention provides a driver circuit comprising: input for receiving input power; an input capacitor (C2) for buffering input power; pulse power converter for supplying the driver current caused by buffered input power; current limiter coupled to the pulse power converter, the current limiter is configured to control the pulse power converter to limit the driver current at a driver load limit, at the same time, the current limiter contains a controlled switch (Q3), made with the possibility of controlling the pulse power converter; and control element (301) configured to measure the change in input power, wherein the control element is connected to the controlled switch, and the regulation of the controlled switch is based on the change in input power so that the current limiter is adapted to control the driver load limit based on the change in input power, moreover, said control element contains a current-measuring element (R1) connected in series in a line between the input capacitor (C2) and the input.
EFFECT: technical result is the ability to provide a peak converter current corresponding to the waveform of input power, thereby contributing to an increase in THD (total harmonic distortion) and power factor.
