SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an oral care composition containing metal salts. The disclosed composition includes a first metal salt having solubility higher than 0.001 g/100 ml in water at 20°C and a second metal salt having solubility of 0.001 g/100 ml or lower in water at 20°C; where the first metal salt and the second metal salt are in one phase and content of unbound water in the composition is higher than 10% by weight. The first metal salt used is zinc citrate in amount of 0.5-4% by weight. The second metal salt, the amount of which is 0.1-1.5% by weight, is selected from zinc oxide, zinc phosphate, zinc pyrophosphate, zinc silicate, zinc oleate, zinc hydroxide, zinc peroxide and zinc sulphide.

EFFECT: disclosed combination of zinc salts provides a synergetic increase in delivery of zinc ions.
