FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining tetrazole-containing paired polymers. Method consists in alkylation of N-H non-substituted tetrazole cycles of poly-5-vinyltetrazole. As alkylating reagent copolymers of 2-(vinyloxyethoxy)methyloxirane with vinyl monomers are applied, process is carried out in medium of N,N-dimethylformamide with weight ratio of reagents, which includes from 0.25 to 0.75 weight parts of each of them, temperature 60-100°C, for 48 hours. As vinyl monomers styrene, methylmethacrylate, 2-methyl-5-vinyltetrazole are applied.

EFFECT: obtaining paired polymers, which can be applied for creation of pH- and thermo sensitive hydrogel compositions, capable of acting as immobilisers of drug substances, catalytic systems and as binding components of water-filled energy-intensive compositions.
