SUBSTANCE: control method for a direct AC converter, which is designed to connect the first three-wire network (30) to the second three-wire network (31) and has six in-series branches (32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37) and energy accumulators (9, 11), includes a method for control (41) over the operation of a direct AC converter by which energy transfer from the first three-wire network (30) is controlled to the second three-wire network (31) and back according to criteria of the energy need, energy and/or reactive power supply; at that the method includes an energy content regulation method (42) by which the respective electric value of the energy accumulated in the respective branch (32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37) of AC converter or an electric parameter characterising the electric value of energy is regulated to the preset rated range. The invention also discloses the direct converter and a machine-readable medium with a computer programme.

EFFECT: provided maximum efficient long-term functioning of the direct converter.
