FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering. Two-step unfolding footstep comprises step, carcass, mounting bracket and power accumulator. Said carcass comprises linear displacement control element, hinge assembly and lock assembly. Mounting bracket is designed to be rigidly secured to vehicle and configured to lock the carcass hinge to said vehicle. Step can displace relative to said carcass and be confined by linear displacement control element. Lock assembly confines either liner displacement relative to said carcass or case rotation relative to mounting bracket. Power accumulator applies both turning moment to displace said case to folded position and force to displace said step to unfolded position. When operator pushes downward the folded step said case turns to partially unfolded position at overcoming said turning moment to lock said case. Step release occurs so that the force developed by power accumulator displaces said step for translation to completely unfolded position.

EFFECT: expanded rage of step unfolding.
