SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to aerospace engineering, particularly, to modern aircraft wherein hot compressed air is used bled from engines for use there aboard for various purposes. Leaks detector for insulated pipeline carrying pressurized hot air. Said device comprises the components that follow. Jacket secured above circular cutout in pipeline insulation or above pipeline section joint. This composes chamber for gases escaping from pipeline or from said joint. Channel is formed in the manifold to communicate with chamber with hot air. Cover serves to lock heat-sensitive wires at manifold channel end so that hot air escapes from the chamber to get on said wires. Leak detector comprises also flow control mechanism in manifold housing for prevention of false alarms possible due to leaks at standard operation of pipelines.
EFFECT: valid detection of leaks through fractures.
