FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-destructive inspection and can be used for measurement of distances, in particular as a sensor in defectoscopes, four-arm callipers, oil and gas industry, for measurement of pipeline geometry and position of defectoscope in a pipeline. It is achieved by that in the distance meter between the sensor and the conducting material object containing AC power supply, attached thereto measuring channel, consisting of the inductive resonant gap transducer with two coils, the movement output signal linearization unit, the coils are made with mutually perpendicular axes of the generator coil and the receiver coil, and the axis of the receiver coil is arranged perpendicular to the object surface, parallel to the receiver coil the condenser, the resistor are connected, and they are connected to the generator, the amplifier, the logarithmic amplifier, the detector, the analogue-digital converter, the linearization unit and the screen is added. The linearization unit is implemented in the form of controller with nonlinear function approximation algorithm in the form of polynom with coefficients which are obtained after calibration in lab conditions. The screen is made from the conducting paramagnetic, and from the side facing towards the object, with the wall from dielectric.

EFFECT: increase of speed, reduction of mutual influence of sensors used in multichannel measuring systems.
