FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: energy absorber comprises casing, energy absorbing element in form of a tape, installed in the casing slots between its internal parallel surfaces creating U-shape structure, and secured by one end in the casing, while the free end of the tape is made with section for load application. Between the internal surfaces of U-shape structure of the tape there is attached element in form of a socolet. The socolet is secured on the free end of the tape, and is made with clearance relatively to surface of the other end of the tape, not preventing operation of the energy absorber.
EFFECT: exclusion of stability losses of the energy absorbing element.
