FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. The refractory block for the slide gate in the drain hole of the tank with metal melt contains the refractory adapter block (21) build in the drain hole of the tank, first refractory bottom plate (10) adjacent to the adapter block, and movable refractory gate plate (18) adjacent to the bottom plate. Near the first bottom plate (10) the second bottom plate (12) is located. The adapter block (21) has such length in direction of the second bottom plate (12) that by the sliding bottom surface (21') is in slide contact with it. During replacement of the first bottom plate the second bottom plate is inserted under the adapter block.
EFFECT: easy and reliable replacement of the refractory plates.
