FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed sliding shutter of, particularly, converter comprises shutter plate 10 with refractory long plate 11 and external metallic case 12. Refractory plate 11 has sliding surface 14, 15 interacting with that of refractory plate 11. The latter has chamfer (26, 28, 29) to form with sliding surface 14, 15 the angle α on portion of refractory plate extending from metallic casing 12 along side (16, 17, 18, 19), confining sliding surface 14, 15.
EFFECT: lower probability of damaging ends of coupled ends of refractory part in fitting and/or in rearranging said parts.
