FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: sealing of the main socket of the pump unit of power nuclear stations contains the metal and graphite layers connected among themselves. The sealing is implemented as multilayered in the form of alternating flat rings located parallel to the sealed surfaces and fitted with protective rings. The protective rings cover several layers, among which, at least one, is from metal. Along the external planes of the sealing the graphite layers are placed.
EFFECT: invention improves tightness of connection.
