FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: sealing gasket has a field width equal to or close to the width offlanges sealing surface, and comprises a multilayer seal. The sealing is made with different thicknesses along the width of the gasket, while the layers of gasket contacting the surface of flanges are formed of soft sealing materials. The gasket part, having the maximum thickness, serves as the main seal zone and can be located along the outer, inner edge or in the middle of the flange surface.
EFFECT: overlapping of the entire sealing surface of flanges and its reliable protection against the effects of aggressive and coking medias, ensuring the estimated compression pressure of the gasket.
