SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the method and the device for decrease of soot particle content in exhaust gas (EG), first of all EG in the internal combustion engine (ICE) having at least one first, at least, partially conducting structure (1), the second, at least, partially conducting structure (2), the intermediate space (3) between the first structure (1) and the second structure (2), the high voltage source (11) for creation of electric potential between the first structure (1) and the second structure (2) and in the intermediate space (3) at least one, at least, partially conducting intermediate structure (8) is located where the intermediate potential can be created. In the offered method of treatment of exhaust gas containing soot particles EG flows from the first structure (1) to the second structure (2), and, at least, from time to time between the first structure (1) and the second structure (2) high voltage is supplied, so, at least, a part of soot particles in EG is ionized or agglomerated and deposited on the second structure (2). According to the invention in addition, at least, from time to time on intermediate structure (8) which is located in intermediate space (3) between the first structure (1) and the second structure (2), give a high voltage which has size between potentials of the first (1) and the second structure (2).
EFFECT: electric field can be impacted more favourably and disturbances generated by undesirable overvoltages are reduced.
