FIELD: biotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: stable antimicrobic composition belonging to the class of cationic anti-septics is described. The composition is obtained by compounding of chitosan solution containing 1% acetic or amber acid with the solution containing the supramolecular fractal structures obtained as a result of interaction of natural amino acid of l-b-mercaptoalanine with silver ions (l-b-mercaptoalanine-silver solution). The described composition contains (by weight) chitosan 0.2-0.9%, l-b-mercaptoalanine-silver solution 0.1-0.32%.

EFFECT: composition actively suppresses development of pathogenic microorganisms and can be used for production of medicines with antimicrobial properties in the form of solution or films, when developing preservatives for objects of vegetative and animal origin.
