FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: plant comprises a nuclear reactor, a radiation shield and an energy conversion system. The reactor is connected to a system of energy conversion by coolant circulation pipelines. Inside the reactor vessel there is a reactor core fixed, which is enclosed into a shell with a bottom. The shell is installed to form an annular gap relative to the nuclear reactor vessel for movement of the cooled coolant in it. Between the reactor core and the bottom of the shell there is a cavity for collection of hot coolant after its discharge from the reactor core. Below the level of the reactor core there are nozzles of coolant supply and drainage. Drainage nozzles are connected to the cavity between the bottom of the shell and the reactor core, and supply nozzles - with the annular gap between the shell and vessel of the nuclear reactor.
EFFECT: reduced losses of coolant pressure in a supply tract into a reactor core, increased permissible stresses at a reactor vessel wall and reduced material intensity.
