FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: space nuclear power plant (SNPP) comprises a nuclear reactor and its cooling circuit. The reactor core in a shell is installed with an annular gap relative to the reactor vessel. In the gap there is a separating shell, which divides the annular gap between the reactor core and the reactor vessel into two annular channels, which are connected to the assembled coolant chamber above the reactor core. Under the reactor core there is a dispensing coolant chamber. In the lower part of the nuclear reactor there are nozzles of coolant supply and drainage, as well as an additional inlet for coolant. Supply nozzles are connected to the dispensing chamber of coolant, supply nozzles - with the annular channel between the separating shell and the shell of the reactor core, and the additional inlet - with the annular channel between the separating shell and the reactor vessel. The cooling circuit includes: a turbomachine energy converter, a refrigerator-emitter, a compressor and a circulating pipeline, connecting circuit equipment between each other and the reactor via supply and drainage nozzles.
EFFECT: reduced gradient of temperatures and increased permissible loads at reactor vessel.
