FIELD: nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: declared is a nuclear reactor of the integral type (options). The heat exchanger is placed coaxially with the core in the annular space formed between the inner shell, inside which the core, inlet and outlet headers and a protective plug are located, and a dividing shell inside the reactor vessel, which forms a descending annular channel and separates the descending cold flow from the hot ascending coolant flow. Moreover, the heat exchanger is twisted and sectioned along the secondary coolant so that the tubes of the heat exchanger sections are grouped in the inlet and outlet chambers of the secondary coolant located on the branch pipes on the reactor cover. The lower part of the heat exchanger is located above the windows made in the inner shell, through which the hot coolant flows from the outlet header of the core to the inlet of the heat exchanger, and the cold coolant from the upper part of the heat exchanger enters directly into the annular buffer tank with the coolant level under the reactor cover, from which free overflow enters the lowering annular channel and then into the inlet manifold of the core.
EFFECT: technical result is decrease in metal consumption of the reactor, increased efficiency of using the internal volume of the reactor, increased safety in the event of leaks in the heat exchanger tubes, as well as ensuring possibility of removing residual heat in the period after removing the protective plug before unloading the fuel.
