SUBSTANCE: invention refers to generating a compound medical image combining at least first and second image data. The method involves the stages as follows: selecting first image data for the first image and second image data for the second image; recording the first and second image data; specifying an edge junction sector connecting adjacent edges of the first image and the second image; generating a divider in favour of the image data of the edge junction sector; combining the image data of the first image and the second image with the image data of the divider into the combined image data; and displaying the combined image containing the first and second images and the divider with the latter dividing the first and second images visually.

EFFECT: making it possible to eliminate a show of a small discontinuity of the two adjacent image areas.
