SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ELASTOGRAPHIC MEASUREMENTS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B8/08 A61B5/00 G01S7/52

Abstract RU 2667617 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical technology, namely to the means for ultrasonic elastographic measurements. System for ultrasound examination of the anatomical area comprises an ultrasonic probe configured to transmit an ultrasound signal to the anatomical site, and a processing unit for generating an ultrasound image of the anatomical portion, wherein the processing unit is further configured to control an ultrasonic probe for impulse transmission pressure for generating shear waves in the anatomical region, identification, from the reference image in B mode, first and second unobservable areas of the anatomical region, the first region being defined by the processing unit as corresponding to a region suitable for shear wave elastography, and the second region is defined by the processing unit as a corresponding region not suitable for shear wave elastography, wherein the first and second areas are identified by the processing unit, at least in part, by segmenting the reference image in B mode to identify one or more boundaries between the anatomical structures in the anatomical region, such that the second region is determined at least in part by one or more borders, displaying an ultrasound image, generating at least one ultrasonic image recommendation characteristic, wherein at least one recommendation characteristic comprises a graphic image superimposed on the ultrasound image, and a delineated second region, and an instruction for selecting a data acquisition plane for elastography other than the ultrasound image plane, or a combination thereof. Method of ultrasonic elastography is performed when the system is operated using a computer-readable medium.

EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to improve the user's guidance on the optimal plane for obtaining elastographic data.
