FIELD: transport engineering.

SUBSTANCE: adapter casing of the axle box of the truck is made in form of semicylinder with projecting from both sides supports and with side lugs creating shaped cutouts, their internal sides are side support surfaces of the adapter. From outside surface the adapter casing has two projecting supports with reinforcement ribs. At edges of the cylindrical cutout the holding shoulders are made, along them and in central part grooves are made. Base of the adapter casing is displaced relatively to the center of the semicylinder. In middle of one of side supports of the adapter a hole is made with thread for bolted connection with interlocking device. The interlocking device is made having U-shape form, in its middle part a rectangular shoulder is made, it is inserted in the shaped cutout of the adapter, and in central hole of the horizontal flange the bolt is installed, and side supports are distributed over width of the shaped cutout of the adapter and are made rounded.

EFFECT: improved operation reliability of the axle box.
