FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: targets layout comprises a vertical wall, a rack for placing the ammunition in a horizontal position, a system of undermining, and a system of registration of the fragments. The vertical wall is made in the form of a set of shields that cover the angle of flight of the fragments in a horizontal plane and located from the centre of the targets layout at distances proportional to the density of the fragmentation field in the direction of flight.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurements with the ability of using automated systems for collecting and processing information about the fragmentation fields of the test ammunition.
