FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine with differential piston stroke has an engine shaft and a piston provided with a possibility of back-and-forth movement in the cylinder chamber and containing the inner part of the piston, a piston stock connected on the first end to the above inner part of the piston, the outer part of the piston, which serves as a carrier for the above inner part of the piston and is connected to the above engine shaft. The above inner part of the piston has a possibility of operating as per the cycle different from the cycle of the outer part of the piston, and a control lever mechanism connected to the above engine at the attachment point; with that, the above control lever mechanism is connected to the second end of the above piston stock, thus determining a copying point, in which the above control mechanism directs and determines movement of the above copying point so that it is generally aligned with the axis of the above cylinder chamber.
EFFECT: reduction of stress and wear of the inner part of the piston and the wall of the cylinder.
