FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: two-stroke two-piston internal combustion engine contains cylinder head (11), a cylinder block and pistons. In one of cylinders (10) purge windows (7) are made. Exhaust windows are made in the other cylinder. The pistons in the cylinders move in the same direction. Piston (6) controls the purge. The other piston controls the release. The conversion of the reciprocating motion of the pistons into the rotational motion of the crankshaft is carried out by means of two identical sets of links of the crank-rocker mechanism as part of three-hinged rocker arm (2), connecting rod (4) with a movable swing centre and crank (1). Cranks (1) are phase-shifted to enable direct-flow cylinder purge by means of a two-piston purge air blower. Pistons (13) of the blower are coaxial in pairs with the exhaust piston and purge pistons and are connected to them by common rods (5).
EFFECT: improved conditions for gas exchange and reduced friction losses.
