FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to calculation by a measuring system of viscosity of the liquid supplied from the measuring system into the diagnostic analyzer. The method of calculation of liquid viscosity in the probe intended for aspiration or dispensing comprising the stages, which include: measurement of reference pressure (Pref), that is the pressure in the measuring probe in absence of dispensing or aspiration. Then dispensing or aspiration of liquid in presence of air volume between liquid and the probe pump mechanism is performed; then aspiration or dispensing is stopped. Then the pressure (Pstop) in the measuring probe is measured at the moment (t) of termination of aspiration or dispensing. Then the pressure (Pstop') is measured in the measuring probe at the moment (t') after the moment t and the viscosity is calculated as the function Rref, Rstop and Rstop'.
EFFECT: possibility of calculation of viscosity at relatively small volumes of liquid, in particular, during measurement of liquid characteristics in the diagnostic analyzer, and also improvement of accuracy.
