CATHETER FOR FLUID MEDIUM EXCHANGE AND METHOD OF UNLOCKING OF THE CATHETER FOR FLUID MEDIUM EXCHANGE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61M25/00

Abstract RU 2604714 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment and can be used for treating acute cerebral vessels (vasospasm). Catheter for fluid medium exchange has a proximal end and a distal end, and it also comprises the main channel and at least one additional channel. Main channel has a proximal end and a closed distal end, wherein the wall of the main channel forms a distal part of the wall at the distal end of the main channel equipped with at least one hole. At least one additional channel has a proximal end and a distal end and it is located inside the main channel at a distance from the distal end of the main channel. At that the distal part of the wall is capable for expansion at least in zone surrounding at least one hole of the channel, for implementation of unlocking function for the catheter unlocking. Any channel can be adapted for infusion and/or fluid medium aspiration. Catheter is configured with a possibility of its unlocking by change of width of at least one channel hole by pressure change at infusion and/or aspiration of fluid medium by the catheter. At that said pressure is configured to be different from the external pressure impacting on the outer surface of the distal part of the main channel wall. Method of the catheter unlocking for fluid medium exchange, described above, includes the control operation of infusion and/or aspiration in the main channel for creation of non-linear motion of fluid medium through at least one hole.

EFFECT: inventions prevent blocking of the catheter, which is caused, for example, by blood clot, purulence, etc.
