FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: device (1) for introduction of liquid medium to exhaust gases leaving an internal combustion engine includes mixing chamber (3) that is intended for passage through it of an exhaust gas flow and that is provided on its outlet end (5) with end wall (7) from heat-conducting material, which serves as end surface of mixing chamber (3), device (12) for introduction under pressure, which is intended for introduction of liquid medium under pressure in the form of a sprayed jet to mixing chamber (3) or to exhaust gases that are supplied to mixing chamber (3), exhaust passage (13) that is located near mixing chamber (3) is designed for passage through it of an exhaust gas flow and separated from mixing chamber (3) with the above end wall (7). Heating projections (14) from heat-conducting material, which are located on at least some part of that side of the above end wall (7), which faces to exhaust passage (13), and projecting into exhaust passage (13), are made so that they can absorb heat from exhaust gases that flow via the exhaust passage, and with a possibility of supplying the same heat to end wall (7). Exhaust passage (13) is connected to tubular section (16b) of the circuit representing exhaust circuit (16) that has a possibility of directing exhaust gases to exhaust passage (13). Section (16b) of the circuit is restricted in radial directions inwardly with tubular inner wall (19) that is connected to the above end wall (7). Some of heating projections (14) have sections (14a) of projections, which pass into tubular section (16b) of the circuit.
EFFECT: providing more effective evaporation of an introduced reducing agent.
