FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to rolling stock brake shoes operated in tribocontact with both wheel rolling surface and wheel flange surface. Brake shoe comprises steel carcass and friction element including main part and shaped part with groove. Said main and shaped pats are made of polymer composite friction material. Main part incorporates two iron inserts made of nonmagnetic iron. Said inserts are fitted radially to main part working surface outside the shoe central and end parts for them to contact with wheel rolling surface without contact with wheel flange.
EFFECT: better operating performances of the shoe owing to higher friction characteristics, reduced shoe overheating owing to use of paramagnetic materials.
