FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, in particular to checkblocks of traction rolling stock. Brake shoe contains a steel frame with two crests and a friction element. Main part of the friction element is made with a cast-iron patch located in the main part in such a way that, during operation of the checkblock, the patch contacts the rolling surface of the wheel and does not contact to wheel crest. Patch is placed in the central part of the checkblock in the zone of the gap between the frame crests. Polymeric composite friction material is placed in the gap between the carcass crests, and the central part of the profile part of the friction element of the checkblock does not comprise a polymeric composite friction material from the side located when operated from the outer surface of the wheel crest.
EFFECT: improvement in the performance of the checkblock is achieved, an increase in the possibility of deformation of the end parts of the checkblock under the action of a pressing force with compensation of the difference in the curvature of the working surface of the checkblock and the rolling surface of the wheel, as well as an increase in the service life of the crest of the wheel.
