FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, in particular to checkblocks of traction rolling stock. Checkblock contains a steel frame with two crests and a friction element. Main part of the friction element is made with a cast-iron patch located in the main part in such a way that, during operation of the checkblock, the patch contacts the rolling surface of the wheel and does not contact the wheel crest. Patch is placed in the central part of the checkblock in the zone of the gap between the frame crests. Polymeric composite friction material is placed in the gap between the frame crests. Central part of the profile part of the friction element of the checkblock does not contain the polymeric composite friction material from the side placed in operation from the outer surface of the wheel crest.
EFFECT: achieved improved operational performance of the checkblock, increasing the possibility of deformation of the end parts of the checkblock under the action of the pressure forces with a refund of the difference of curvature of the working surface of the checkblock and the surface of the rolling wheel, and also increasing lifetime of the wheel crest.
