FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: microstructure waveguide comprises thin-wall tubes arranged uniformly over inner surface of support tube or in contact with each other, or separately. Thin-wall tubes are filled with liquid-crystal material completely or contain the liquid-crystal material plies on their inner surface.
EFFECT: localised radiation of high optical power in spectrum band of visible to IR radiation, possibility of dynamic readjustment of waveguide mode by external electric and magnetic fields, optical radiation or temperature.
