FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to instrumentation, in particular, to devices for assessment of damage of an electric machine rolling bearing. During realisation of the proposed method the electric machine comprising a controlled rolling bearing is electrically connected to an inverter with an intermediate voltage circuit, and the specified rolling bearing comprises accordingly a lubricating gap between the inner ring of the bearing and the rolling body and the outer ring of the bearing and the rolling body. At the same time for assessment of damage they record energy of an electric event of discharge in a lubricating gap of the rolling bearing, register frequency of discharge events and assess discharge events by correlation of frequency and energy. The device includes an electric machine comprising a controlled rolling bearing, which is electrically connected to an inverter with an intermediate voltage circuit, and the specified rolling bearing comprises accordingly a lubricating gap between the inner ring of the bearing and the rolling body and the outer ring of the bearing and the rolling body. It also comprises facilities for registration of energy of the electric discharge event in the lubricating gap of the rolling bearing, facilities to search for a matching event above one gigahertz, facilities for registration of frequency of discharge events and a device for assessment of registered data of frequency and energy content.
