FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-destructive check and may be used for detection of corrosion in blades of a gas turbine unit. Substance: a sensor comprises a detector head, the shape of which is matched with geometry of the surface of the transition section of the gas turbine blade. The detector head is made as capable of displacement along the axial direction of the transition section for detection of pitting corrosion. At least one induction device arranged inside the detector head creates the first magnetic field in the area of the transition section entering in contact with the detector head. The receiving device provides for detection of a signal corresponding to the second magnetic field received from the field of transition section, which is exposed to the first magnetic field. The second magnetic field is generated by means of currents, created in this area by the first magnetic field. Then the device processing the signal processes the detected signal for correlation of appropriate amplitude of the detected signal with pitting corrosion in this area, so that availability of the pitting corrosion is determined without any dismantling of the gas turbine unit.
EFFECT: detection of corrosion in blades of a gas turbine unit without any dismantling of a gas turbine unit body.
