FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring the corrosion rate of parts in various environments. Corrosion rate measurement system (100) includes consumable probe (106) configured to be exposed to a corrosive material. To detect physical changes in consumable probe (106), due to the corrosion of consumable probe (106), sensor (110) is intended because of the corrosive material. Measuring circuit (120) is connected to sensor (110), that provides an output signal indicative of the corrosion rate of consumable probe (106) due to the action of the corrosive material on it. Consumable probe has a physical characteristic that causes corrosion of the consumable probe at a nonlinear speed. In this case, the probe is configured to corrode at a relatively high speed for an initial period of time, to provide high sensitivity in the measurement of corrosion, and at a lower rate after prolonged use, to ensure continued operation and limited functionality without the need for immediate replacement.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of measuring the rate of corrosion at various stages of operation.
