FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for automated non-destructive testing of surface defects of objects. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that a scanning head is used, which includes a unit for visual inspection of defects, units of sensors for vortex and ultrasonic inspection of defects, a unit for moving the scanning head, path sensors and an encoder, wherein the sensors installed in the eddy current and ultrasonic inspection units are located in positions that provide in the investigated area of the object simultaneous synergetic interaction with a defect of electromagnetic and acoustic fields in an amount, which provides width of control zone, which exceeds value of step of trajectory, along which units of eddy current and ultrasonic control move relative to surface of object.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of control and reduced time for its implementation.
