FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an absorbent structure with a series of layers, which includes at least one liquid-absorbing layer, followed by a liquid-retaining layer with a superabsorbent polymer SAP, preferably with SAP particles and/or SAP fibres, followed by a liquid-distributing layer, wherein the layers are joined and form a layered structure, wherein at least the liquid-retaining layer and the liquid-distributing layer at least optionally include an air-laid material, preferably an air-laid which includes cellulose fibres as the basic component, wherein the region of the air-laid material in the liquid-distributing layer has narrower pores than the region of the air-laid material in the liquid-retaining layer, and wherein the liquid-retaining layer includes a SAP, particularly SAP particles, which are embedded from the liquid-retaining layer into the liquid-distributing layer to create a liquid back suction effect which enters the liquid-distribution layer through the liquid-absorbing layer and the liquid-retaining layer.
EFFECT: improved absorption.
