FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cap for capping a container with liquid having capacity of from 11 to 20 litres, which is used as a source of water at the dispensing device or the water cooler (metering device). The cap 1 for capping a container with liquid comprises a lid which surface is preferably equal to the area of the neck of the container with liquid, the cylindrical fillet 3 in the form of a protrusion formed integrally with the lid. The lid has a central hole 4. Inside the cap the seal 5 is mounted in the form of a disc, fixed by the annular protrusion 6 made on the inner wall of the cap. The containers with various sizes of connecting necks can be sealed with the cap performed according to the invention.
