FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves recording post-prosthetics letter "S" pronunciation; conducting the spectral analysis of the record, recovering the sound "S" spectrum and plotting an amplitude-frequency diagram. An area from 5,000 to 10,000 Hz underlying the produced diagram is measured and compared to the total area underlying the produced diagram. The quality of dental prosthetics is considered to be good if the area relation makes not less than 0.5. If the area relation is falling within the range of 0.5-0.3, the quality of the dental prosthetics is stated to be satisfactory. The area relation under 0.3 shows the inadequate quality of the dental prosthetics.
EFFECT: method enables enhancing the methods of phonetic check examination by creating objective estimates of the quality of dental prosthetics and using the spectral analysis, improves sound "S" pronunciation that is an optimal clinical method for determining the centric relation of the jaws and a position of the artificial anterior teeth.
