FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for the early diagnosis of primary open-angle glaucoma. That is ensured by measuring and assessing an intraocular pressure, examining visual fields and lachrymal fluid, measuring pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines and additionally measuring them in blood serum. If observing an increase of blood serum IF-γ/IL-4, IL-1β/IL-10, TNF-α/IL-10 in the patients with suspected glaucoma, cytokine coefficients equal to 3.66±1.77, 1.9±0.47, 1.20±0.32 respectively in the patients suffering the initial stage of open-angle glaucoma, the relations IF-γ/IL-4, IF-γ/IL-10, IL-1β/IL-10, TNF-α/IL-10, cytokine coefficients equal to 1.85±0.44, 1.48±0.34, 2.85±0.74, 2.42±0.71 respectively, as well as an increase of lachrymal IF-γ/IL-4, IF-γ/IL-10, IL-1β/IL-10, TNF-α/IL-10 in the patients with suspected glaucoma, cytokine coefficients equal to 1.11±0.19, 1.06±0,09, 3.81±0.63, 4.04±0.36 respectively, and in the patients with the initial stage of open-angle glaucoma, an increase of IF-γ/IL-4, IF-γ/IL-10, IL-1β/IL10, cytokine coefficients equal to 1.26±0.22, 0.84±0.08, 3.98±0.61 respectively, primary open-angle glaucoma is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables simplifying the early diagnosis of the disease with high accuracy and information value.
