FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to ophthalmology, and can be applied for early diagnostics of glaucoma. At least, three measurements of intraocular pressure (IOP) are realised on eye through the eyelid in sclera area with interval between measurements not more than 10 seconds with its short time compression for not more than 0.5 second, created at the moment of measurement by forced influence on eye through eyelid with rod, provided with constant magnet and made with flat base with area from 0.2 to 1.5 mm2. Obtained IOP values are compared with value of upper limit of normal IOP and between each other. In case of detection of at least one IOP value, which exceeds value of upper limit of normal IOP, or in case of detection of 2 mmHg and more excess of maximal IOP value relative to minimal IOP value among obtained values, initial stage of glaucoma is diagnosed, even in absence of its other clinical manifestations.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase frequency of glaucoma detection at the initial stage of disease, to simplify and reduce diagnostic time.
