FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: computer perimetry is performed, tear fluid is collected, and tear fluid interleukins IL-17, IL-2, and IL-8 are measured. The probability of developing glaucoma is determined according to the original formula. At Y=326.762-378.518, the development of the initial stage of primary open-angle glaucoma (hereinafter – POAG) is diagnosed. At Y<326.762, the absence of the development of the initial stage of POAG is diagnosed. In the case of obtaining a Y value in the range from 326,762-332,420, optical coherence tomography with the function of angiography (hereinafter – OCTA) is additionally performed, and the relative vessel density in the superficial (hereinafter – VD Superficial) and deep (hereinafter – VD Deep) vascular plexuses of the macula is analyzed. When the values of VD Superficial<44.9% and VD Deep<50.2% are obtained as a result of OCTA, the initial stage of POAG is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to improve the quality of diagnostics of the initial stage of POAG of elderly and senile patients, which will avoid the risks of making a false diagnostics and reduce the medical burden.
