FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of production of antigen of leukaemia virus (LVC) for serological and immunochemical diagnostics of the disease. The method consists in deposition of circulating immune complexes (CIC) of blood serum of patients with leukaemia of animals with their subsequent dissociation and extraction of protein components of LVC. At that the blood serum from patients with bovine leukaemia is mixed with the PEG-6000 solution in 0.1 M borate buffer to the 3% final concentration; stirred, centrifuged, the precipitate is separated and dissolved in 5-fold volume of 3% PEG-6000 solution in the borate buffer, centrifuged; the resulting precipitate containing CIC with virus components is dissolved in 3-fold volume of distilled water and exposed with stirring, after which the sample is mixed with an equal volume of saturated ammonium sulphate solution, stirred and centrifuged; the supernatant is separated and dialyzed, filtered and concentrated.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain more specific and stable LVC antigen for serological diagnostics of the infection, which enables to determine fuller range of antibodies in the infectious process.
