FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely to physical chemistry and immunology. The method for potentiometric diagnosis of bovine leukemia consists in detecting anti-BLV (bovine leukemia virus) antibodies in the animal’s blood serum by measuring the potential of the indicator electrode for pH measuring. At the same time, 0.5 ml of the studied blood serum is added to the well of the immunological polystyrene tablet for serological reactions. The potential of the indicator electrode is measured. 10 mcl of BLV antigen is added and measurements are carried out again using a pH meter in the mV mode. If the electrode potential changes by no more than 0.05 units, the absence of bovine leukemia is diagnosed, if the electrode potential changes by 0.15 or more units, bovine leukemia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: simplifying the analysis method, increasing the reliability of the diagnostic results.
