FIELD: physics, acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to acoustics. A method of reproducing three-dimensional (3D) sound comprises generating a filtered sound signal corresponding to a first height; from the sound signal using a transfer filter connected to the head, replicating the filtered sound signal the same number of times as there are speakers; performing at least one of amplification, attenuation and delay processes on each of the replicated sound signals based on at least one of the gain coefficient and delay values, corresponding to each of the plurality of speakers through which the replicated sound signals are to be output; outputting through corresponding speakers the replicated sound signals on which at least one of amplification, attenuation and delay processes has been performed. The apparatus includes a filter, a replication unit, an amplification/delay unit, an output unit which outputs replicated sound signals, on which at least one of amplification, attenuation and delay processes has been performed, through corresponding speakers. A second method of reproducing an audio signal includes receiving a multichannel signal, obtaining HRTF filter coefficients for at least one height input channel, obtaining gain coefficients, performing reproduction at a height relative to said at least one height input channel.
EFFECT: high efficiency of reproducing sound.
