SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for audio signal processing. Multichannel signals are received, including an input channel signal and having a horizontal channel. The deviation information is obtained from the elevation angle of an output channel signal and the elevation angle of a standard speaker. The filter coefficients are obtained for rendering the input channel signal into the output channel signal. The filter coefficients are changed based on inverse dependence of the filter with elevation correction using head-related transfer function (HRTF) and the specified deviation information, when the elevation angle of the output channel signal is higher than the elevation angle of the standard speaker.
EFFECT: technical result is reducing the distortion of sound image when configuration of installed speakers differs from the standard configuration.
